Homeschool Happenings is a nature-based program focusing on journaling in April and May. This program will meet six Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. with Jean McCarney, an elementary and special education teacher. Jean has over 35 years experience teaching children to write freely and express themselves. Her mentors have been Lucy Calkins, Ralph Fletcher, Regie Routman and others. Jean and the children will practice journaling through wetland exploration. Each Wednesday the participants will explore and learn about a different wetland habitat. Children will have time for free play each session.
