Nature Photography & Hiking as Spring Unfolds-April 13, 20, 27, & May 4, 2021
Nature Photography & Hiking as Spring Unfolds is a program tailored just for older children.
Jean McCarney, an elementary and special education teacher, and Amy Langman, photographer and sole proprietor of Amy's Angle Nature Photography, will facilitate this new program at Rock Hollow Woods. Each day the children will learn the art of nature photography, followed by a hike to a different part of Rock Hollow Woods or the Ephraim Malickson Wildlife Sanctuary adjacent to Rock Hollow Woods. Hiking destinations will be to: wetlands, the Indian Corn Creek, a creek tributary, a deciduous forest, and ponds. The photographers, Jean, and Amy will stop to explore different environmental talk points while hiking and have time for exploration of the area with cameras.
Appropriate for students seventh through twelfth grade.
